Sebastian was born in Germany, but had the good fortune to grow up in this little paradise called Gran Canaria.

Since he was a child, his life was linked to the charm of Villa del Monte. He spent much of his childhood at home, helping to serve breakfast and welcoming guests with his family. Those experiences, full of smiles and conversations with travelers from all over the world, awakened in him a deep passion for hospitality, which led him to study at the Hotel Escuela de Santa Brígida.

For several years he worked as a cook, learning the values of dedication, effort and the art of taking care of details. Later, he took a step further in his professional path and traveled to Germany to train in hotel management.

Until 2020 he was part of the management of various hotels belonging to large international chains. However, the arrival of COVID changed his course: it was then that he decided to return home and take on the family legacy.

After two years of intense renovations and hard work, Villa del Monte reopened its doors. Today, Sebastian lives his dream: to work in the house where he grew up, in the place where he shared so many good moments with those who, being strangers at first, ended up becoming part of his family.

With the same illusion, he continues to write this story, hoping that each new guest who arrives at Villa del Monte feels part of something more than just a lodging: a family that continues to grow day by day

Petra is the visionary founder of our beloved Hotel Rural Villa del Monte. Originally from Germany, she made one of the bravest decisions of her life: to leave her country behind and start over in Gran Canaria, together with her two young children, in search of a place to grow, dream and build a meaningful future.

After years of effort, illusion and a tireless search, Petra found here, between mountains and orange trees, the perfect place to make her dream come true: a home where she could combine her passion for hospitality with her role as a devoted mother.

Since then, Villa del Monte has not only been a house, but a refuge full of life, warmth and affection. Every room, every plant in the garden and every gesture towards our guests reflects Petra's spirit: her generosity, her dedication and her unique way of making everyone feel like family.

Today we continue to walk because of her. Her energy, her love and her example continue to be the heart of this place, because more than a founder, Petra is, and always will be, the soul of Villa del Monte

Saba has been a motherly figure and a true beacon at Villa del Monte for the past five years.

As head of the housekeeping department, she not only makes sure that every corner of our home sparkles, but she also cares deeply about the well-being of every guest who walks through our doors.

Her dedication goes far beyond cleaning. Every detail, every floral arrangement and every gesture reflects her love and desire to make everyone feel at home. Saba has a special gift for connecting with people: she always finds the perfect moment to offer a comforting word, a smile or simply a kind presence.

Pedro is much more than just responsible for technical services and garden care at Villa del Monte. For the past two years, he has become a fundamental pillar in the creation and preservation of the cozy atmosphere that defines our home.

His most endearing characteristic is his cheerful whistling, a constant melody that fills the air with serenity and brings smiles to everyone who hears it.

There is no challenge Pedro cannot overcome. His toolbox and his ingenuity are the best guarantee that everything at Villa del Monte runs smoothly. But beyond his talent, Pedro is a loyal friend and a generous companion, always ready to listen, help and offer a kind word to both his colleagues and our guests.
